ANDREWS CENTER BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM CHOOSES SMARTCARE FOR
ITS MODERN PLATFORM AND BEST IN CLASS EHR SOLUTION
Kalamazoo, MI – [December 8, 2016] Andrews Center of Tyler, TX is pleased to announce it has reached an agreement to purchase the SmartCare™ electronic health record system (EHR) provided by Streamline Healthcare Solutions (Streamline). Andrews Center is a non-profit, comprehensive mental health and intellectual and developmental disability center providing services in five county areas of east Texas including, Smith, Wood, Rains, Van Zandt and Henderson.
Paul Maddock, Director of MIS at Andrews Center, was deeply involved in the RFP selection process. Their reasons for choosing the SmartCare application over other qualified vendors is two-fold. The application was the best in class EHR solution for their center and, as Paul stated, “Streamline’s partnerships with multiple Texas Centers demonstrated the most viable option for migrating to a modern platform while observing regulatory constraints.”
